The Most Holy Trinity
FIRST READING
A reading from the book of Exodus.
Lord, Lord, a God of tenderness and compassion
With the two tablets of stone in his hands, he went up the mountain of Sinai in
the early morning as the Lord had commanded him. And the Lord descended in
the form of a cloud, and Moses stood with him there.
He called on the name of the Lord. The Lord passed before him and
proclaimed, the Lord, a God of tenderness and compassion, slow to anger, rich
in kindness and faithfulness; And Moses bowed down to the ground at once and
worshipped.
‘If I have indeed won your favour, Lord,’ he said ‘let my Lord come with us, I
beg. True, they are a headstrong people, but forgive us our faults and our sins,
and adopt us as your heritage.’
This is the word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
[Response]: To you glory and praise for evermore.
You are blest, Lord God of our fathers.
Blest your glorious holy name.
[R]
You are blest in the temple of your glory.
You are blest on the throne of your kingdom.
[R]
You are blest who gaze into the depths
You are blest in the firmament of heaven.
[R]

SECOND READING
A reading from the first letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians.
The grace of Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
Brothers, we wish you happiness; try to grow perfect; help one another. Be united;
live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Greet one another with the holy kiss. All the saints send you greetings.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy
Spirit be with you all.
This is the word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Alleluia, alleluia!
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
the God who is, who was, and who is to come.
Alleluia!

GOSPEL
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
For God sent his Son into the world so that through him the world might be
saved. Jesus said to Nicodemus, “God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life.
For God sent his Son into the worldnot to condemn the world, but so that through him the world might be saved. No one who believes in him will be condemned;but whoever refuses to believe is condemned already, because he has refused to believe in the name of God’s only Son.
This is the Gospel of the Lord

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
Celebrant’s Introduction:
In the First Reading
we are introduced to the Lord, ‘a God of
mercy and compassion, slow to anger and
rich in kindness and faithfulness’. We bring
our needs before the Lord with confidence.
Intercessions:
1. We pray for all who spread the gospel;
may they preach the mercy of God to
the world.
Lord, hear us………
2. We pray for peace; peace in our world,
peace in our homes, peace in our
hearts.
Lord, hear us………
3. We pray for our parish community; that,
called to be perfect, we may be united
and help one another.
Lord, hear us………
4. We pray for those who are sick; that the
God of love and peace will comfort
them in their affliction.
Lord, hear us………
5. We pray for those who have died; may
they be received into the loving
embrace of the Father in heaven.
Lord, hear us………
Celebrant:
Father in heaven, you so loved
the world that you gave your only Son that
we may be saved. Hear our prayers today,
which we make, as always, through the
same Christ, our Lord. Amen..

PENITENTIAL ACT
I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly
sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most
grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all
the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

GLORIA

will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you,
we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King,
O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son.
Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; You take away the sins of the world receive our prayer;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you
